Human Resources Director

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of HR professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring efficient and effective HR service delivery.

Strategic HR Initiatives:

  • Collaborate with the VP of HR to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that align with the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Drive the development and execution of HR strategies in areas such as talent acquisition, performance management, employee experience and DE&I.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Serve as the organization’s expert in compensation, providing guidance on compensation structures, salary reviews, and incentive programs.
  • Ensure that compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company’s overall HR strategy.

Change Management:

  • Lead change management initiatives to support organizational transformation and culture change.
  • Develop and implement change management plans, including communication strategies, training, and support mechanisms.

Employee Relations:

  • Oversee employee relations activities, providing guidance and support to managers and employees on conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and maintain a positive and productive work environment.

HR Shared Services:

  • Support various presidents and broker partners within the HR shared services model, delivering tailored HR solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance HR service delivery and improve employee experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is ideal
  • Professional HR certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles, with a strong focus on compensation, program management, employee relations, and talent acquisition.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing HR teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic HR initiatives and drive organizational change.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations across multiple provinces.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
