James Christoforatos began his career in commercial insurance in 2022 at Gallagher, a leading global brokerage, before joining Jones DesLauriers in 2025 to pursue a more entrepreneurial, dynamic, client-focused practice. He brings broad cross-sector insurance and business knowledge, with former and current specializations in diverse risk management sectors.

He is known for his decisive, detail-driven approach. James combines deep technical expertise with a genuine client-first mindset, equally comfortable navigating through complex policy language as he is building the long-term relationships that define successful client and brokering partnerships. He is proactive, accountable, and consistently driven to exceed expectations, both for his clients and within his own professional development.

A former NCAA Division 1 lacrosse player, James graduated from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance along with a master’s degree in Data Analytics, an experience that shaped the discipline, competitiveness, hunger, and team-first mentality he brings to his work every day.
