John Cochrane Ascends to Chairman, Bill Papadimitriou Joins as President

Mississauga, ON, May 7 , 2024 – Jones DesLauriers Consulting, the benefits, retirement, and financial services arm of Jones DesLauriers Insurance, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Cochrane to Partner, Chairman (formerly Partner, President). With this transition, Bill Papadimitriou comes onboard as President, Jones DesLauriers Consulting. These changes are both effective as of May 6, 2024.

During his nearly 10 years as President of JD Consulting, John has transformed the team and contributed to its exceptional growth. During his tenure as President, Cochrane was responsible for and oversaw: generating 300%+ revenue growth; composing a very talented leadership team; implementing in-house proprietary technology, DataPort; building specialty practices; strengthening the analytics and underwriting department; and refining a best-in-class service model for clients.

In his new role as Chairman, John’s responsibilities will focus on mentorship, fostering established key relationships with clients and carriers, and building out JD Consulting’s sales strategy and growth trajectory. As Chairman, John also plays a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional standards of governance and best practices, facilitating high-level projects and initiatives, and overseeing the consulting business at large.

Bill brings over 25 years of industry experience as a successful business leader to Jones DesLauriers. He joins the team after spending over four years at Desjardins Financial Security Life Assurance Company, as the Regional VP of Business Development for Ontario and Atlantic Canada, and over 13 years at Sun Life Financial. Bill played an integral role in reshaping the entrepreneurial cultures, as well as the strategies and expansion of these organizations.

In his role as President, Bill will spearhead overarching business initiatives and projects; set and execute the company’s strategic vision and planning; provide leadership and guidance; work collaboratively with fellow executives to ensure efficient operations and management; and identify opportunities for further business growth.
